Windfall

"Never look a gift horse in the mouth."

(Saint Jerome (374 AD - 419 AD))

Breakfast at tiffanys

Lyrics by Deep blue somthing

You say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care

An I said, "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's"
She said, "I think I remember the film
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's one thing we got."

I see you - The only one who knew me
And now your eyes see through me
I guess I was wrong
So what now? It's plain to see we're over
And I hate when things are over
When so much is left undone

An I said, "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's"
She said, "I think I remember the film
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's one thing we got."

You say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care

An I said, "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's"
She said, "I think I remember the film
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's one thing we got."

  2. Sorry I think I misunderstood something here...

This pictures is glamours and lovely.
The words in fact I'm still thinking of the meaning...I didn't know this statement.

In Brazil we have a popular quote that say "Horse that is a gift we do not looking the teeth"
( In Portuguese it looks a little bit different, but I guess you can comprehend )

    God bless you

  3. Strikingly beautiful! Did you buy your wife something from Tiffany's for Easter?

And I have used that expression for years but never knew where it came from.

    Thanks!

  6. Namstè Léia,

Ohh, yes I know, this post is a little bit bewildering. There is a subtle irony between my image, title and quotation.

    Sorry for that.
